(its located around my nose... its located where i pressed hardly to remove my black heads)

i dont what just happened to my nose, i think is just a bruise...

coz' last night, i tried so hard to remove my blackhead, i think it bruised my nose... thats why there was this strange discoloration on my nose?

is it?

No! make-up makes it all the worse becuz when you work and get sweaty then that sweat and make-up goes in your pors cause-ing bad black heads try CLEAR AND SENSATIVE SKIN its really helped me alot but it takes time!
Cut them with knifes and use band-aids for a while.
Try Baking Soda. It cleans your face real good.

Just pour some in your hand and mix with a few drops of water in your palm till it looks creamy, then put on your face. Let it dry on your face then rinse face with warm water.

have you tried those face washes that come on the cloth like the oil of olay ones? they're great. they clean, mositurize adn exfoliate all at the same time. oh, and they cost between 6 and 8 dollars a pack, which i am guessing is a lot less than proactive or something a dermatologist will give you.

try PROACTIV! That stuff works great. Any type of acne youve got WILL be cured. I had it awful around my chin %26amp; then i put it on before i went to bed. Next morning, they were gone! Also, put Vitamin E cream on every Night Because Vitamin E keeps that stuff from coming back.
Try a deep pore cleanser and astringent. Some people are just more prone to blackheads. My daughter uses the Oil of Olay cleaning clothes for combination skin these help also as one side of the cloth is a coarse texture to help take off makeup and grime.

Benzoyl Peroxide is the best for acne. Use it twice a day. Be careful, it's a bleach, so use a white towel. Also, use a separate towel than the one you use to wash your hands. People don't know that when you use the same towel you are reapplying dirt onto their face. It REALLY dries out your skin. I mean your skin starts pealing. It has to dry out your skin because if your acne is really bad, dirt is stuck under it. Don't expect it to work overnight though...nothing does.

You can also try using Head %26amp; Shoulders. For some reason it works.
Drink lots of water and eat fruit and avoid touching them cause then you will get more and wash your face daily :D No need to use scrubs cause sometimes they don't work, but depends how bad they are! Don't over scrubs though cause that damages your skin and if you are young dont use foundation as that is a cause and damages your skin, hope that helps a bit :D
I use this scrub from Target called ';Rub your Nose in it'; Made by Soap and Glory. Its 12 dollars and I would say that it works pretty good. I'm 28 and have been battling this problem forever. I wouldn't say that it got rid of all of them, but it helps to shrink my pores a little, so that the dirt doesn't get trapped in them.

LOOK LOOK: this may sound weird but take ink out of a pen then use the side of the ink you dont wright with and press on the black head gets all the puss and stuff out with out smearing it so less will form works great when its in small places

I've never really experimented with make-up that much but would love to know how i can get myself a clear complexion using make up.

Neutrogena SkinClearing foundation is a really good one, it has salicylic acid in it which is used to unclog pores and blackheads. They have the matching powder and a concealer with anti-blemish ingredients as well.

I use it and it works pretty well for me. It keeps my blackheads under control and helps soak up the oily parts of my skin without over drying. I have never gotten any irritation or dry scaly skin from that foundation.

Firstly, you need to moisturise as this makes a better base to put makeup onto. Remember to always take it off as well! I would personally suggest using johnsons products as these are really good for your skin! In the summer, i wouldn't say you should wear foundation as its too heavy and makes it even worse (because you sweat....) so i would say use a tinted moisturiser and then keep it simple with a layer of black eye liner and black mascara. i think what you need to do is jsut to cleanse your skin but be careful because you need to find the right product for your skin i think simple is a good product as it has no parfum in it, but i would put moistoriser on first to make a base then liquid foundation and once that has dried... powder and maybe a little blusher or bronzer
Ideally you need to work at getting your skin in better shape, as make-up only looks good on good skin unless you really know how to apply it properly.

Use a good face mask twice a week and moisturise every day. Also use a face scrub twice a week to remove and dead skin cells.

I can't start without telling you that it is your skin that makes or breaks your complexion. You can't paint a very pretty picture on a dirty canvas. Start taking care of your skin. I love Mary Kay's microdermabrasion which is a two part set. The first is a tube of a super fine grainy scrub and the second is this silk like serum you apply after you rinse. This makes pores instantly smaller. You can use this every three days but I just use it once a week. Cleanser and moisturizer are key! Get a good but not harsh cleanser and a good moisturizer with sun screen. I highly recommend Mary Kay's cleanser and moisturizer, together they go for $40 but it will last me three months. Okay, enough with that! For a flawless look, apply your concealer first (after cleanser, moisturizer, and you pat dry your face). Get the smallest bit of concealer and lightly dab it everywhere you want to use it, then go back and dab or dot the area until it is blended in with your skin. Mary Kay's Acne Treatment gel is great for spot treatment of acne. If you have it all over I would recommend talking with a beauty consultant about what is best for your skin, perhaps Velocity would be best if your skin is really oily and acne prone. Sometimes the TimeWise will work well for acne prone faces that have combination skin (like me). Moving on, apply foundation all over. Start just above your mouth and use up and outward sweeping motions for the best coverage and then cover any missed areas. If using a liquid foundation use your recently washed and dried fingers because the heat from your fingers will help the foundation spread easier and smoother. If using a mineral powder foundation be sure to dip the brush in the powder, swirl it around, then tap off the excess before applying it to your face. Apply it as you would the foundation with the out and up approach. Next use a facial highlighting pen to brighten dark places on your face (ex. under eyes, smile lines around your nose, one line in the middle of each eye brow going up to open up your face more). Let the facial highlighting pen's coverage set for a moment before patting it in. After that I would say you are finished unless you would like a soft blush or bronzer to apply. The blemish extractor is a tool not a cleanser or a scrub so it works when you use it, and not a week after :P

HOW TO USE;

to answers your 2nd question, yes i beleive you can use it after u shower!

here are some suggestions to getting them out:

-hot towel compress on your nose for a couple minutes

-facial steam bath (boil water+bowl+towel over your head for 5 mins)

A CAUTION ABOUT BIORE STRIPS:

I used these very enthusiastically at first, then realized the extreme traction they put on my skin was causing lots of small spider veins. I see the latest Biore Strip packaging warns you that ';if you have skin that tends to develop spider veins, do not use..'; Well, how do you know that, until you develop them? I sure didn't. Damage done though. For me, it would take several hundred dollars and a qualified laser surgeon to correct this problem that these little 5 dollar packs of strips caused. And I know I am not alone.

Biore nose strips works....but the blackheads always come back.
Try using a clay mask. There is no magic treatment for skin problems, but using a mask pulls out the dirt that is deep within the skin. A toner would be helpful as well.
You're not going to get rid of them completely as these are natural things that you have to live with and no body really notices them but these steps may help:

1. Don't wear a lot of make-up, this just builds up the grease/dirt and makes them bigger.

2. Exfoliate at least once a week - this will deeply cleanse your pores and lift some blackheads. And also, cleanse twice a day even if you haven't worn make-up - the grease/dirt builds up throughout the day and night.

3. You could try some nose pore strips but they only lift off the very small ones that you hardly notice anyway.

4. Gently squeeze them out: this is my method which I've found really works: Get a flannel and make it as hot (with water) as you can stand and press it onto your nose until it cools (that's about 1-2 mins) and then grab two tissues and inbetween your fingers [behind the tissues] GENTLY squeeze them out. But if they won't come, don't get vigorous as this breaks the skin and leaves your nose/cheeks red for days. Just put another wet flannel on and try again. I've found this method really useful, even for large[r] ones.

5. You could go for a facial at your local salon, they have a miracle way of taking blackheads out with ease and it makes you really relaxed too. I find it nice to go after school/work and just calms you down. If you're a person like me who doesn't DO creams then don't worry, just tell them that and they use ones you can hardly feel...

the biore pore strips can really get in there and clean up your skin. you'd have to use them probably twice a week in order for them to completely go away. but they do work, plus its so refreshing to see all the stuff that was in your skin come out and be able to throw it away!!

How do i get rid of blackheads FAST!?

I have hundreds of blackheads on my chin and nose. They have been there for years and I have no way to get rid of them. Please, HELP!How do i get rid of blackheads FAST!?
OMG, i have the excact same problem. Heres what i do. get a washcloth and get it moist with hot water. dab it where your blackheads are. (make sure the skin there is sturdy and can handle pressure) and then your pores will open. after, with clean hands squeeze your blackhead. onece it comes most of the way out. get tweezers and get it out. How do i get rid of blackheads FAST!?
Get an exfoliating facial scrub. Rub it into your chin and nose for 30 seconds to a minute every other day. Don't do it more often than that or your skin will get really raw.

Alright, heres the thing

cleansers are not the best thing

first of all use water to clean your face NOT soap i know it sounds stupid but trust me

using soap and cleansers may clean your face for a short period of time but they will come back harder if you dont continue using the cleanser.

there is a better way, clean your face with water and go to your local drugstore and buy some zinc, and take a pill each day, its natural and much more effective

Proactiv is great if you follow directions and if it doesn't work get your $ back - (My two teens use it and have success if they don't slack off).

Whatever you do you have to follow the directions and promise to fight acne as hard as you can.

Hot compresses before you wash helps draw black heads out.

Doing a mask also helps the one in the proactiv set is worth the investment.

Also don't ever use a product like laundry soap or something that isn't for your face (toothpaste)

I have blackheads on my inner thighs, which is common due to the moisture and sweating going on down there, but for some reason NOTHING works to take them away. 5. try to only pick the really big ones that look like they are going to pop soon

well first you need to get a regimen...

1. Pick a day to primp

2. you will need the following,hot towels,water,wash cloths,and a good astringent.

Do the following.

steam face for about 10/15 minutes...then place hot towels on face ..until cool, then repeat two to three times. Then wrap the two fingers that you use to squeeze with a cloth or tissue,, and lightly squeeze the black heads out. after doing so wash face and use the wash clothe as an exfoliating cloth.

wash face with cool water and apply the toner.I use Loreal and love it.

. Pick a day or two a week, and do it slowly.

Try to buy a blackhead and pore cleanser for taking care of those problem areas.

Omgawd! I have the best advice for you. First use a cleanser. Do not use a scrub. {It tends to peel at the face %26amp; make it dry.} After you have washed your face with cleanser, use toner. It evens out the skin %26amp; helps prevent breakouts. After the toner use a zap zit creme. The first day you use a product like that your pimples will turn red %26amp;%26amp; have puss come out of it. Dont worry it is just cleaning out your pores %26amp; preventing new ones from coming. After the first three steps try some moisturizer, all those steps will dry out your face. And make sure once a week you give yourself a facial. Well you probably have acne and blackheads. You should try some acne treatment, such as AcneFree(you can buy at Pharmacys) or Clean and Clear products. Be sure to keep your hair out of your face to prevent bacteria.(which can cause more acne) I hope this helps!

You need to get into the habit of cleaning your face every night before you go to bed.

First start out with a mild cleanser such as neutrogena daily cleanser. Then use an exfoliant every other day such as St. Ives Apricot scrub. On the nights that you do use the exfoliant use a toner once you're out of the shower. I say shower because that is the best place to wash your face since the steam from the hot water will open up your pores and the cleansing will be more effective.

Once you are done using the toner you should buy an extractor. It's the same thing Estheticians use halfway thru the facials to extract your white heads and blackheads. The extractor will work its best when used after you've steamed your face and your pores are the most open. You can buy this extractor at stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, Longs Drugs, and maybe even Rite-Aid. Anyways don't force the extractor too much on your face or you'll end up with blemishes and those can be worse than acne. If you keep doing this regime every day (except for the exfoliant and extraction) you will be on your way to a much happier, healthier, and cleaner face :) Oh one last thing, probably the most important MOISTURIZE. Especially in the winter drier months. And in the summer make sure you use sunscreen such as Aveeno's face sunscreen.

Try Neutrogena's new pore reducing scrub pads. They have an acne medication in them and are great for cleaning off the surface of a blackhead or pimple allowing for healing.
Change pillowcase and sheets as often as possible. Once a week at least. Once a day would be best.

For me I went into a tanning booth twice a week for just a couple minutes, went on the birth control pill, and started a cleansing system (proactive $19.95US for kit off TV advertisement and they will mail it to you once a month). Never touch your face with your hands unless it is while washing.

Stay away from most soap and perfumed cleansers. Some people are allergic to that crap. When washing, don't use a rag, for it carries germs and dried laundry detergent. I dont know if this works but I have heard that ponds cold cream will do it and is a great eye makeup and makeup remover. I got it today because I am home sick with a big stye, I think you call it and the pharmacists recommended this to TAKE out all the old mascara that caused the infection and the makeup from yesterday came out after I had already removed it twice with normal eye makeup remover...it is great

I find blackheads usually do come back. They are a great big pain in the butt. Aside from popping them, which can be hard, I like using neutragena's black head mask. It works pretty well with consistent use. The biore blackhead strips work for some people I know, but they have never done me any good.

You can push on your nose really hard! you will see alot of the puss that is in those blackheads come out. Then wipe with alchohol.. a dermatologist that I go to got her assistant to come in to pop mine, and she used some sort of tool, don't know what it was called but it is long with a round hole at the top....she said you could pick this up at any beauty supply store and it's perfect for popping pimples with no mess. You just press the eye against the pimple and press and it pops it.
The most natural way to do it is to, every night and every morning, get a clean flannel, rinse it with really hot water(but dont burn yourself! :D) and then hold the flannel to your face for about ten seconds. Then rub your faces, softly, with the flannel.

This works because the steam from the hot flannel opens your skins pores and then it cleanses your face.

Do that everynight and whenever you can and you should see a different soon :)

My way of getting rid of it is before you wash your face (especially when its really oily), slowly massage your nose by pushing it up and down, rubbing left and right.

Eventually you will little bits of 'things' coming out, which is the clog oil harden.

Then you wash your face with warm water, and again with cold water to close the pores.

You could also try squeezing them out? Put a washcloth under hot running water and press it on your nose, it'll open up your pores. Try squeezing out your whiteheads and blackheads but don't be too harsh because then you'll just break your skin and it could bleed and scab.
There is certain face wash %26amp; cleansers for exactly that. But if you don't want to buy anything, I suggest wetting a rag with hot/warm water then placing the rag over your nose for a couple minutes. (Hot water opens pores.) Then take the rag off pop them out like you would a pimple. The hot water would also be a good idea for face wash too though, because it would be more thorough. Good luck =)

I think the blackheads are due to excess oil or dirt on your nose. So make sure you clean your face about twice a day (but it's not good if you do it too often). I used DHC's olive oil cleanser, and it has gradually diminished the blackheads on my nose by like 80% (but I don't use it everyday, although I should). But every skin is different, so it may or may not work for you. I'm a mix of oily and normal.

To the first poster, GET A LIFE or be nice!!!!

I looked for over 8 years for a product against blackheads.

Clarins has an awesome line, for night time you need the toner and oil, its a special oil that dissolves blackheads (for real) and cleans your face overnight of impurities. Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix no water based product can ';clean'; your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. This oil also dries up the pimples and the black heads all the way down. I recommend using it for 6-8 weeks then going for a facial (cost maybe 25$) and ask for a facial specializing in black head removal/extraction or you can look it up online, how to steam first and all and yes using a tissue paper not your fingernails really is better, I know cause now I have little brown spots and acne scars from years of picking with nails, tissue forms a little barrier so that the sharp edge of your nails doesn't cut the thin outer cell layer.

As to what soap to use, I'm not sure what to answer, Clarins has it's line, the gommage is excellent, I am addicted to Clarins Bright Plus Gentle Brightening Exfoliator, full size is 50 mL, 1.9Oz., 12-15$ on eBay I think (retails for over 40$ here in Canada), lasts 2 months when used twice a week, use sparingly

You can find it cheaper on eBay as it is a bit pricey in stores. Here is the name: Oil: CLARINS Lotus Face Treatment Oil Combo SKIN 1.4oz/40ml 13-15$ on eBay (retails for 54$ here in Canada at the pharmacy). It lasts forever , you put toner on your face first, when your face is still moist you put 4 drops of oil (one on each finger, you only need a teeny bit) then rub your finger tips together on other hand and after a few secs of rubbing use your finger tips to dab it on top of your moist skin... just be careful not to put more than 4-6 small drops of oil and that your face is wet from toner and to dab it over not rub. Toner: NEW Clarins Toning Lotion with Iris OILY Skin Toner 200mL, found it for 10-12$ on eBay (retails for around 36$ in Canada).

The body shop also has an awesome mattifying moisturizing tea oil face gel.

Also only use non-comedogenic products (These products are less likely to cause blackheads (open comedones) or whiteheads (closed comedones)), it will be normally written in small on the label if they are non-comedogenic.

For extraction you may want to read up on black head extractor, it's a little tool with two loops, one on each side, one for black heads one for white heads. There are many online sites that explain the use.

Steaming your face first will help TREMENDOUSLY. To steam, put very hot water in a bucket or big bowl (you can add herbs, long lists of what is good online), then put your face over the bowl (not too close!) and cover your head with a towel, making a little ';tent'; and enclosing all the steam inside. Apparently it only takes 4 minutes for pores to open and any time between 4-8 minutes is good. Make sure you thoroughly wash skin before starting the steam . This will allow the pores to open, making the blackheads just slide out with a little pressure. After you have finished extracting, rewash your face (very gently as some pores may have been damaged during extraction), finish off with cold water to close your pores, apply some toner and if you have dry skin then apply a light moisturizer. I wouldn't recommend putting on make-up for 12 hours after extraction, but you could definitely use the Clarins night regime I described earlier.

Be sure to check eBay Stores and Buy it Nows, often even cheaper than the auction, for Clarins products anyways.

For body (not the face) best thing that worked cause I have the same problem (this is going to sound crazy) is ground coffee, preferably dry or you can use old used coffee grinds (not instant) and bring it in the shower. Wet your legs with water then take a pinch full and in circular motions (not straight) rub it around and around for a minute or so. Do this every item you shower and it makes legs soooooooo soft, incredible! Alsomost toners are like 98% rubbing alcohol and water, so after my shower (once my legs are dry) I take rubbing alcohol and apply it liberally to your legs and problem areas (soak it) then let it dry on it's own, should help thin the skin and dry out a bit.

For a cheap exfoliant, put some regular white sugar in a spoonful of honey. The grains of sugar will help scrub your skin and clean out your blackheads and honey is a natural disinfectant (or so says my wife, who is my subject matter expert on this one).

The best i have ever used is from the Botanicals range at Boots (in the UK, or if you are in the US, go to Target, they carry some Boots stuff, including this mask). It's just called something like Cleasning Clay Mask... it's not expensive and it's excellent.

How to get rid of blackheads?

I've had blackheads on my nose for years!

I've tried all those scrubs %26amp; cleansers that says it'll get rid of the blackheads, but doesn't.

But I've finally tried pore strips.

Just last week, I bought Biore's Deep Cleansing Pore Strips.

I've used only 2 out of the 8 strips on Thursday last week, then used it again on Sunday %26amp; already I'm seeing improvements.

Benzoil peroxide 2% every night after you wash your face.

Here麓s a faster way, but not recommended to do it very often. Boil some water, turn off the heat, and then cover your face and the water with a towel, be careful not to burn yourself. After five or ten minutes go to a mirror and with a bobby pin (which you will have to wash and damp with alcohol first) you will have to squeeze the black head, push the circular part of the pin around the blackhead once or twice and it will come out easily. Then put on some benzoil peroxide on the hole it leaves.

How to get rid of blackheads?
I actually used lemon juice for dark patches on my face and noticed a big improvement with the blackheads too. They are much, much smaller and once I squeeze them out, they reappear much later. So, yeah, try it. Just apply it twice a day, leave on for 20 minutes and rinse. But it wont make them go away completely and forever. I don't think anything over the counter can.
Take hot water steam, ur blackheads will easily come out, after which rub ice n u'll feel good.

pore strips twice a week and exfoliate 3 times a week. Try not to touch your face too much and make sure you wash your face twice a say with face wash. If you dont have dry skin, aslo try to avoid face cream but still use eye cream.I have a lot of blackheads on my nose?
It all depends.

The best way to keep my blackheads in check was by doing 3 things:

1) Clean my face using some warm water and fragrance-free soap (olive soap works best for my skin)

2) With the soap I would put in finely ground walnut shells to exfoliate it my skin

3) Use a blackhead extractor/remover whatever you want to call it to suck up the remaining stubborn blackheads.

Don't get the suction blackhad removers..those won't work and cost way too much. Get a good stainless steel one that will last a loooooooooooong time.

Pia has given very good advice, I would add control your diet. A green salad and an orange (not juice) every day will help make your skin healthy.

Try a mud mask, that may pull out the oil deposits in the pores.
Use ducktape.
i get them too , at the tip of my nose. soo annoying, i never know what to do either lol...
